University professors will notice this, particularly in Australia. The number of students attending class drops off week by week- is it laziness? apathy? other commitments? it will differ from student to student but the reality is that the current model is broken. Students are expecting to be able to receive a more flexible and personalised educational experience from their Tertiary institution.

RV Learning worked closely with Curtin University to build an eLecture product which allowed their teachers to write a script and storyboard and bring it to life in a digital fashion. The eLecture product has been built to simulate the in person lecture, in a format that is more visually stimulating. Animations are triggered with audio cues to attract attention to the correct section of the slide.

These eLectures have been produced to replicate the pedagogy in the Lecture environment. In built activities allow students to immediately reinforce what they have just learned. The ultimate benefit of this approach is a learning system which can be easily implemented by any academic- regardless of tech knowledge, and an accessible platform for students so they can learn anywhere, at anytime and on any device.
